How it started
I hadn't touched The Sims in ten years. I come back to it early this year, discover everything the community has built in the meantime, and install everything I fancied in one go — of course. Cold shower: crashes, frozen screens, an unplayable game.
And that's when I understand the real problem: my game was crashing at launch, before it could even write a single error report. There was nothing to read. And nobody to ask, at 11 pm.
Bedside was born that evening.
Three pillars
Honesty as a signature
Bedside never tells you more than it knows. It says "I don't know" when it doesn't, never deletes anything, and everything can be undone. That's the only thing worth trusting.
One person, not a studio
Tanven is a one-person company, registered on September 2nd, 2026 (RCS Quimper) — a name in a registry, not a team. The logbook tells, month after month, what got fixed and what a patch broke.
Respect for creators
Bedside takes no data without its author's consent, and always links back to the creator's official page. Before integrating anything, we write and ask.

Bedside is free and will stay free. A manual 50/50 evening is two hours; if Bedside gave them back to you, you know what to do. A donation promises nothing and buys nothing: it maintains what exists.
